@Kre:Pí festival 2024 at Záhrada - Centrum nezávislej kultúry Banska Bystrica

28,29,30 and 31th August 2024

So happy that my work and I have been part of the Kre:Pí festival 2024 at Záhrada - Centrum nezávislej kultúry Banska Bystrica. Great organizations, run by a kind, warm and extremely talented group of artists, top technical support, dreamlike space, friendly and safe atmosphere of happiness. Thank you Beta Karoten , Kristina Chmelikova , Kubo, Jaro,

Barbora Šuhajdová, Milan and others

I hope you run for many many years to come. I am definitely visiting next year!

"Kre:Pí festival has been here for 7 years. They say that after 7 years there will be a crisis. It may seem so or it may happen. The Kre:Pí festival has always tried to bring opportunities for "feeling" on an individual and collective level. We like the fragile and invisible as well as the ubiquitous and vibrant. We strive for the common and create space for the private. Moments, euphoria, discoveries, sensations through senses and nonsense.

During the previous six years, the festival presented the work of male and female artists who tried to present, soften and open the perception of ourselves, of people, of the environment in which we live and beyond. The idea of the Kre:Pí festival has always been to create a space for experiences that we cannot normally afford. For time, space or other reasons. It was also a "renaissance of the senses", whose importance and role in everyday life, in which we are often overwhelmed by information, we overlook. The festival fulfils all this through art and creative activity, through the cultivation of our sensitivity. The current situation in Slovakia and in the world is gaining in radicalism, and the word cultivation seems to be disappearing from our lives. The Kre:Pí festival has always tried to bring opportunities for "feeling" on an individual and collective level. We like things fragile and invisible, but also ubiquitous and pulsating. We strive for "common" and create space for "private." Moments, euphoria, discoveries, sensations through the senses and non-sense."

Therefore, even the seventh year of the festival will be dedicated to cultivation. Cultivation of the senses, our communication, our perception, our coexistence in one space. However, as the subtitle suggests, there will definitely be more than it might seem at first glance - theater, performance, dance hall, workshops, installations...Kre:Pí has always subliminally supported the diversity of experience in addition to the diversity of art."

Happy we meet again with Bea Kolbašovská and Eike Berg
